| # 7 - Parts of the road running along the west side of Punta Concepcion can be under water at high tide. Be aware of the many cactus growing on the side of the minor 2 track road, one of the biggest hazards being tire punctures from cactus needles. I have made 2 trips out here without a flat on my Bridgestones, but I have met some guys that have had up to 4 flats just getting to the end of the road! Also Carhartt double knee jeans will protect from needles embedding themselves in your leg if you brush against them. |
